Dude, vBulletin cost $150 for a liscence, plus $30 yearly for support, no way devin and steve can manage that. Although it is more than worth it for the money, us users make so many of these forums, how can we use the VB like that? Sorry, vBulletin is too expensive and valuable.

VB is not allowed to be hosted because it is against the license, it is not like the IPB 1.3 license so this can never be hosted LEGALLY

No, there's no point. I think they scrapped that in 2002. We're happy to host vBulletin, but you're going to have to have a legitimate license first. Which means you're going to have to pay for one. There's no way to provide you any form of vBulletin for free.

vbulletin sucks...ipb owns...the skins, fast servers, makes it ipb a better baord.

VB outclasses IPB in many ways. There is a reputation system in where people can give members reputation. The posting is more fun, not to mention an owned license it cheaper than using IPB for real. Almost every VB forum I see has over 10,000 members, with a few at 100,000, and one that had over a million. But the price is the biggest problem.

I'm buying one, but as of now, I am extremely happy with RB, and I am going to advertise the heck out of it.

They should be a bit more like IPB, if they lowered the price, more people would purchase it.

In the future I am thinking of starting a money-making forum, but that will be in like 5 years since I am only 13. I may be getting a credit card next year though.

I'm thirteen too, and after seeing these forums, I realize that to sell stuff, you should be at least 18, or have a parent, so waiting 5 years is smart.

Lol. You don't need to be 18 for a Credit Card in Egland, you have to be 14.
So I may wait til' I have a job first though; I'm hoping that I can get a decent job, then save money until I can buy some servers, and do something like a Hosting Service or something.
