Alright I was trying to edit the HTML Templet (did so by copying the original {e. g. base new skin set off...}) and I get this browser error in IE:

This error (HTTP 406 Not Acceptable) means that Internet Explorer was able to receive information from the website you visited, but the information was not in a format that Internet Explorer can display.

So I thought maybe it was just my browser so I went over to Fire Fox and tried it again, but fire fox gave me this Error:

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /admin.php could not be found on this server.

So then I was like okay off to Opera, but again I get the error below:

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /admin.php could not be found on this server.

1) Is this a bug?

Sorry for this double post, but for some reason all three browsers would not allow me to post HTML in the code tag. As soon as I deleted it from the topic the post finaly posted.

strange...ussually HTML is not allowed to be posted by default so if the HTML was being sent and executed by your browser it is possible it was confusing the browser and then not displaying it. try just putting in "<tag>" in the code or just rubbish and see if it displays. if so then it may be what i said.

Hey,

This sounds like an error on our side, the 406 Not Acceptable error is our security engine. Can you tell me exactly what were you trying to do? I'll be able to fix the problem.

1) This was the first problam I had and when it fialed I came here. So I was in: Admin CP >> Html Templets >> Global Setting >> Guest Bar

I was trying to add more information to it by using the Div html tag, but each time I got a diffrent error on 2 of the 3 browsers i tried it in. Then when all three browsers gave me an error I thought well i will delete the Div HTML tag and just add simple Text, but again I got the same error in all 3 browsers.

Summary: i was trying to add more stuff to the giest bar by using Div HTML Tag; it faild and i tried it in 2 other browsers and it still faild. I then tried adding the Texy as simple text (no html), but I got the same error.

2) By this time I was frustrated because I had been able to edit the HTML before (I deleted images next to the Members, Search, and Help links). So then I came to the support topic and posted the above message (take note the original Topic Tile was: "Odd Error"). The one thing you don't see is the sample code i wanted to add to the HTML Templet. Every time I tried to post it in the BB Code; Code Tag I got the same error as i did trying to add it to the HTML Templets. Then I looked in the BB Code Help and found an HTML BB COde Tag and tried that, but it faild again.

By now I was like Can i even Post a topic?

So I deleted the origianl topic and change the topic description to: "testing" (because I was testing if it would happen to simple text as well), but it did post. So I then edit the post to add the HTML sample I wanted to show you and it gave me the same error as before.

Now i was realy fustrated and mad; so I just deleted the HTML code from the post and it posted.

Summary: I tried to post the same HTML I wanted to add to the HTML Templet, but it would not allow me. Finaly I got mad and simply posted the topic with out the HTML.
