hi, i am having trouble changing the colour of my skin... can you help?

Hey, which skin in particular do you mean? if you mean the default Rapidboard skin it might be easier for you to install a better skin which is of a colour of your choice (not that im knocking the default skin)

You ca find the skins HERE and then once you have downloaded the (filename).tar from that website you install it by going into your board control panel on Rapidboards.com by clicking on "Modify it" under the board you wish to edit and going to the skin tab then choosing upload. after this check it is the default skin for your board and hey presto.

If you really want to change just the colour for this skin and not have a new one, reply to this and im sure one of the skin Gods like Pavhead or Glennsand will help you out

Well that would be why - the skin you are trying to install is Invision Board 1.3 compatible and your board is version 2.0. You'll need to find a 2.0 skin, or create a 1.3 board.

i am still having issues... not sure what i am doing wrong but i cannot the skin to change and i am not sure if i have imported the entire file.

honestly i have no idea?!

i want to change my current defult skin to the one i gave the link for... i have downloaded it but it was a zip file and in the wrong format. i tried to unzip it but now there are too many files.

i feel very lost... and oh so confused.
also trying to work out how to add a chat to my page
about to give up on it all i just can't work anything out!

ok i have semi worked out how to change the colour of the skin...

as i have only imported one file instead of the entire 5 only part of the skin has changed...

how can i import the entire file? everytime i try to click on it it just takes me to the 5 unziped ones, i have uploaded two of them but they are seperate skins in my admin?????

ok... all done and the only problem is that the file
ipb_skin-darknessv1.xml
doesn't sxist... i have ipb_skin-darknessv1.xml.gz

i have imported that file and it only changes the background not the headers etc, they remain blue. the changes are also lost when i log out and then back in...

Logging out...thats because it isnt the default skin. I'll have to leave this to Devin. I know more about IPB 1.3.

I cleaned up your skins and installed Darkness for you. You were very close except you forgot to set your skin to use the "Darkness" images instead of the default
